Three minors were arrested in south Lebanon Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy, the Internal Security Forces said in a statement.
According to the report, the boy’s mother pressed charges against the unnamed suspects, ranging in age from 15 to 17, at a police station in the Tyre district village of Jwayya.
She reportedly claimed that the incident took place at a construction site in Shahour, a town in the same district. Police in Jwayya detained one of the suspects, while the other two were arrested by the ISF’s Information Bureau.
The ISF statement also said that a forensic examination showed that the child had in fact been assaulted. The suspects were referred to authorities for further questioning.
